Straight To Sin City! The Oakland Raiders Are Moving to Las Vegas

(AP Photo/Ross D. Franklin). "It's a nice place so good luck to them but they still suck", said Tom Wilhoit. This would probably push Mark Davis into moving the team by the 2018 season. Miami was the lone dissenter.

"I wouldn't use the term lame duck", Davis insisted.

Until then, likely in 2020, Mark Davis' team belongs to Oakland. And if they have anybody to talk to about it, it should be me.

As he does so, he also can address what is ahead for a team that, on the field, clearly is on the rise. Where do the Raiders go in 2019? "This will change the face of Las Vegas and our state forever", Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak, a strong backer of the move, wrote on Twitter. To lead this team here and now.

Throughout his three-decade tenure as National Football League commissioner, Pete Rozelle, a legendary figure in the sporting world, warned that legalized sports betting would create cynical fans, obsessed with point spreads and suspicious of players and coaches.

Tottenham player ratings: Mousa Dembele man of the match v Burnley
It is always hard in the first game after global duty, all the players arrive at different dates , but we were very professional. Thankfully for the Spurs fans housed there, Dier displayed plenty of control with a measured finish in the 66th minute.

Forget saccharine platitudes about how Raiders Nation bleeds silver and black. I won't attend a game, and I'm not a die-hard Raiders fan, but I do support the city of Oakland. It is offensive. And what they're doing is they're taking the money out of the backs, and out of the hides of people who can't afford it.

MCEVERS: Raiders fan Ted Ludwick says the team's first move when he was 10 years old was a gut punch. "The ones who gave their life blood to you, you lost them forever".

Davis has been a Raiders fan for about a half-century, celebrating Super Bowl titles, enduring long stretches of losing and sticking by them even during a 13-year move to Los Angeles.

"I feel bad for the city", Green told reporters.

The Raiders will play this season at the Oakland Coliseum and have a contract option to play there again in 2018, but would need to play the 2019 season in a temporary facility unless a new agreement can be reached in Oakland. They won 12 games last season, making the playoffs and seeming to be well-positioned to stay strong with Derek Carr under center. "But I also want them to give as much support to the team as possible as we attempt to bring a championship to the Bay Area". A almost $2 billion stadium near the Vegas Strip is already in the works. It's conceivable, if highly improbable, that snags will hit in those areas.

This will be the third move in the Raiders history.

Oakland was perhaps the unlikeliest city to get an American Football League franchise when the league began in 1960. He said the vote came very quickly after Raiders' owner Marc Davis made his presentation to the owners.
