Iceland Volcano Satellite Image and Volcanic Eruption Ash Create Air Travel Woes

Iceland Volcano Satellite Image and Volcanic Eruption Ash Create Air Travel Woes. The Iceland volcano satellite images are popular today because there are many individuals that have yet to see the large ash cloud that has taken Europe by storm. While we are sitting here in the US, the only way to know what it is like is to look at photos of the cloud.
Many are stranded in airports all over the world, as air traffic cannot go through where the large ash cloud exists. Why not? Well, the volcanic ash cloud can cause engine failure in the airplanes as well as create visibility problems.
If you look at the satellite image, the ash cloud almost looks like a lot of cloud coverage or snow. Still yet, there’s no mistaking that this is from the April 14 eruption of a volcano in Iceland which exists underneath a glacier.
This is the second time in a month that the volcano has erupted, which makes the citizens of Iceland very nervous. There’s an even larger volcano that is feared to be set off by the current eruptions. Still yet, we live one day at a time and see what happens when.

Don’t think that just because the ash cloud clears up air travel woes will disappear. Everything is at a standstill and industry experts warn that it could take days before the schedules are back to normal once the ash cloud is cleared.
