HP Slate 7.0 Price and Release Date Leaked?
March 22nd, 2010
HP Slate 7.0 Price and Release Date Leaked? The Apple iPad will be released April 3, and will be the first tablet computer on the market. HP isn’t expected to be close behind Apple, and is rumored to be releasing their tablet PC sometime later this year.
Clipset.com claims that the HP slate, which will run on Windows 7.0, will come to the US sometime in June and in Europe in September. The entry price is rumored to be lower than the Apple iPad, but higher than the price for netbooks. The price is rumored to be around $540 USD.
What will the HP Slate have that an Apple iPad won’t? Web cams, USB connections, and Flash support.
The claims have not been verified by HP, but with the release of the iPad, HP will need to act fast to get their tablet on the market if they want to get some of the share from the iPad.
Orders for the iPad have been rolling in steadily, and there are some rumors that only those who have pre-ordered the tablet will be able to get one on the April 3 release date.
The HP slate could be the answer to man peoples prayers. Those who can’t seem to give up Windows in favor of Apple will be able to have a tablet to call their own.
Are you excited about the HP Slate, or do you think you will prefer the Apple iPad? Does the ability of the HP product to support flash and have a webcam affect your tablet purchasing decision?

When can I purchase an HP Slate? I have been waiting forever and there have been several release dates and still NOTHING! Please when will it be available in the US to purchase, or should I just go ahead & purchase the IPAD? Thanks! Flo
Apple do great things with the iPad, so that other companies try to make the same product. What is clear, I really like my iPad.
