Pacquiao and Margarito fought this past Saturday, and as expected Pacquiao had yet another victory taking Margarito by unanimous decision.

However, Margarito will be forever impacted by the fight – which left him with a broken bone in his face that will only be able to be surgically repaired.

Pacquiao apologized to Margarito and Margarito’s wife and camp for injuring him.  The PacMan asked the ref to call the match around the 11th round but he ref refused.

Margarito’s corner allowed him to continue despite his eyes being swollen shut.  After the fight, he didn’t join in the post fight press conference and went straight to the hospital.

For those that missed the fight they will rebroadcast it this Saturday on HBO. Of course, everyone who enjoys boxing knows the outcome – but if you are a Pacquiao fan, it’s always great to see him in the ring.

Margarito issued a statement from the hospital which said “I also want to thank [Top Rank promoter] Bob Arum for always believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to fight Manny Pacquiao. I also want to thank all the fans who came to see me and who watched the fight on TV and continue to support me.”
