In Germany, UFC 122 was banned to minors and wasn’t broadcast on TV because of the “violent” nature of the sport.  Of course, in America we cherish our UFC, and UFC 122 gave us a rare opportunity to watch the event for FREE.

That’s right- UFC 122 was not on HBO PPV, instead it was FREE on Spike TV.  However, it aired via video delay so by the time it actually came on pretty much everyone knew that Marquardt once again fell, and Okami will have a title shot in February for his weight division.

This isn’t the first time that Marquardt has fallen after getting this far- but now it’s back to the drawing board for him.  Maybe one day he will muster up the strength to pull in a major win and get himself to a title match.

In addition to Okami’s win, Pascal Krauss and Mark Scanlon each won $60,000 for the best fight; Dennis Siver won $60,000 for submission of the night, and Karlos Vemola won $60,000 for KO of the night.

A bout between Silva and Vitor Belforte will determine who will go against Okami for the title match later next year.  That’s so exciting for this Japanese fighting machine.
