Manny Pacquiao the Filipino fighting machine took on the Mexican fighting machine Antonio Margarito yesterday, and the end result was that Manny Pacquiao won yet another match – and to say that he won is sort of an understatement. He DOMINATED.

Manny Pacquiao focused on a cut underneath Margarito’s eye – continually knocking at his opponent’s weakness. In the end, the result was that Margarito was admitted to the hospital and has to have surgery to fix his face.  His eye was swollen completely shut, and some boxing analysts suggest that in the wake of the fight, officials may  have ended the career of Margarito by not calling the fight sooner.

They also claim that the entire corner for Margarito should be fired, as they should have pulled their fighter from the fight.  However, Margarito wanted to stay in the fight, claiming that Mexicans never back down.

Margarito won the 6th and 8th rounds, with Pacquiao taking the rest of them – Pacquiao really threw a lot of combinations and punches in, and although Margarito gave some good body shots, and got the Pac Man to the Ropes a few times, but it wasn’t enough.
