New U.S. Warning Labels for Cigarettes [PHOTO]. Everyone knows that Cigarettes are bad for you, and that’s why the Surgeon General wants new US Warning labels for cigarettes.  These aren’t just any labels – they are very graphic depictions of what can happen to your body if you choose to smoke.

For instance, large black warnings could read “Cause Cancer”, or you could have a warning label that includes a photo of a lung that is cancer ridden, or a mouth of someone who has cancer and bad teeth because of smoking.

The new US warning labels for cigarettes is one of the first moves by the FDA, which gained control over regulating tobacco for the first time in 2009.

The new ads take up about half of the cigarette packs, and have many tobacco companies worried.  After all, a half a pack isn’t going to give them much space for their branding and logo, is it?

The  FDA realizes that packs of cigarettes stay with consumers until the very last stick is smoked.  Therefore, having a constant reminder of what could happen if you smoke is something that could inspire some to quit.

Below are some new US Warning labels for cigarettes, of which the actual required labels will be chosen from. What are your thoughts?
