White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, Lost His Cool In Delhi while on Obama’s notoriously controversial India trip. The Press Secretary lost his cool after Indian security said that only five of the “elite eight” with Obama could go into his meeting with an Indian official.

Gibbs was standing up for the press pack.  Now, Gibby’s known for being sarcastic so when I first heard that he lost it I about rolled my eyes. Then again, he was sticking up for the press, as freedom of the press is something that America cherishes.

The Press Secretary was successful in getting 8 reporters in to the meeting, but only after an Indian security official almost broke Robert Gibbs’ foot, which he had jarred in a door.  The press secretary threatened to pull Obama from the meeting.

Politico.com reports “At one point… Gibbs had his foot lodged in the door to the meeting as Indian security officials pushed hard to shut it. In an angry shouting match, Gibbs asked the officials if they were going to break his foot as he repeated his threat to pull Obama.

Only then did officials take him seriously and allow all eight reporters inside.”
