Apple iPad Preorder Available Before April 3 and Sales Estimates

Apple iPad Preorder Available Before April 3 and Sales Estimates. On April 3, Apple will release their popular new gadget, the iPad. Until then, those wishing to purchase the first touch-screen tablet to hit the market in recent years can pre-order their product.
That doesn’t mean you will get your iPad before April 3. Starting on April 3, the company will start shipping out orders.
Of course, the April 3 date assumes you only want the Wi-Fi enabled version. If you wish to have the subscription based 3g model, it won’t be available until later in April, although you can still pre-order the product.
The 3g model requires a subscription, similar to wireless cards used for laptops. However, this gives people on the go assurance that they will have internet when they need it (provided that AT&T coverage is available).
Preliminary first day preorder sales estimates indicate that Apple sold 120,000 of their new creation. There are three models available: 16, 32, and 64 GB – and it’s estimated that there is an even split within the 120,000 units sold.
Approximately 70% of the units sold are wi-fi only, as many don’t see the Apple iPad as a “mobile” device.
The data plans cost $15 for 250 MB of data or $30 for unlimited data monthly. If you are anything like our technology buffs, you would be better off purchasing the $30 per month plan because the iPad appears to be addicting!
If you want an iPad, we suggest pre-ordering. If not, you could have to wait for the popular product to come out. Prices start at $499, which is incredibly affordable and reasonable when compared to some of the other Apple products.
