Iran Arrests 30 Accused of Cyberwar Backed by US.  Technology is a great thing, but on the otherhand it gives birth to cyber warfare and other types of crimes.

Iran has accused 30 and arrested them for allegedly using 70 million U.S.-made web filter-pass softwares to destabilize the country.  The accusations indicate that the US tried to gather intelligence from inside the country using the networks.

Of particular interest to the US was allegedly Iranian nuclear scientists. This is likely believed to be connected to the tensions between the US and Iran in regards to the country’s nuclear program.

Iran contends that the US has used satillite stations and internet networking in order to cause political unrest inside the Middle Eastern country. Washington denies these claims.

The arrests took place after Iran identified the largest US backed networks.  The networks were launched by Iranian opposition groups.

These arrests will likely increase the tension between Iran and the United States.  The US along with the United Nations have been trying to get Iran to abandon their nuclear program. Negotiations haven’t been successful as of yet, and Iran contends that their program is for peaceful purposes.

However, others fear that the program is designed in order to allow the country to obtain a nuclear weapon.
