Quran Burning in Gainesville Florida Suspended but Not Cancelled (VIDEO)

A Quran burning cancelled announcement was made yesterday, but the Koran burning ceremony may only be suspended. According to various reports, Terry Jones – the controversial Gainesville, Florida pastor who was the “mastermind” behind this scheme may not cancel the event after all.
Terry Jones announced that he was canceling a planned burning of the Qu’ran on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Koran burning was aimed at protesting the Ground Zero mosque, a 13 story Islamic center being built some 300 yards from Ground Zero.
Imam Muhammad Musri says that Jones told him the event would be canceled because it poses a threat to US Troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Jones said he canceled the event because Musri had agreed to move the mosque. Jones and Musri are scheduled to meet, but the heated arguments between the two men may continue.
Based on “lies” Jones believed were told to him by the Imam, he said that his group is forced to “rethink” their cancellation of the Qu’ran burning. Instead, the event is only “suspended.”
The animosity between Americans and the Islamic world continues to grow. Terry Jones’ burning of the Koran has condemned by not only the current Administration, but also Bill Clinton, Angelina Jolie, and General Petraeus.

It’s his right to burn it if he wants to. Those principles…freedom of speech, assembly, demonstration….are what this country was founded on. I find it odd that people on our own soil can deface our flag in our country…but god for bid one man wants to burn a book…..the book isn’t what matters anyway. It’s the faith you carry with you.
Burn em all those towel heads can burn our flag so we should burn there book see how they like it. Stand your ground.
This reminds me of how people get excited over sports. It’s only about moving a ball in a particular direction, but even that can cause riots if the other team offends them. People are very sensitive. I think it’s just as much of a Biological trait as a cultural trait among humans.

Is this guy retarded? I understand that constitutionally it is his right to do whatever the hell he wants, but why would you antagonise an entire religious people who has done nothing personally to you. He is no better than any extremist from any other country, religion, or group. Although he may think what he is doin is making a good point, it is not. it will only be responded to with violence and hostility. Somebody please arrest his ass for conspiracy to start a riot just so its over with.
