Lady Gaga Twitter followers now surpass Britney Spears Twitter followers, de-throning Spears as the person with the most followers.  This is a big deal! I would have thought that Justin Bieber would have the most followers, but he doesn’t even make the top five.  Lady Gaga is followed by Brittany Spears, who is then followed by Ashton Kutcher.  The Ellen Degeneres Show and President Obama round out the top 5, and all have over 5 million followers.

That’s kind of a weird bunch, but it goes to show you a lot about the land of Twitter. You’d think that Kim Kardashian would have been on the list – after all, she’s Tweeting all the time.

Not only is Gaga the person with the most followers on Twitter, she’s also the biggest name on Facebook. Last week she surpassed President Obama as the person with the most Facebook fans.

However there is one thing that the “Bad Romance” singer wasn’t able to do, and that was beat Justin Bieber out for the most YouTube streams. Bieber’s collaboration with Ludacris beat out “Bad Romance” by a hefty margin.

Of course, the everyday person could only dream about having millions of Twitter followers.
