Crystal Bowersox American Idol 2010 Tracy Chapman Performance Video (VIDEO). American Idol season 9 has one performer that rocks the stage – Crystal Bowersox.  She’s been compared to Kelly Clarkson, she’s gotten rave reviews from the judges, and she even performed after spending time in the hospital.  During the final 8 girls’ performances, Crystal sang Tracy Chapman’s “Give me one Reason to Stay Here” – and even played her electric guitar.

Man, I can think of at least a million billion reasons to stay on American Idol! Could Crystal Bowersox be our next champion? Will we be seeing her along side Clarkson, Daughtery, and Adam Lambert? Many seem to think so. Of course, anything can happen from now to the season’s end.  Four more people will go home tonight, and we will have just 12 competitors left in the running.

The other women in the top 8 had lackluster performances, and if it weren’t for Bowersox, many people would have likely been dissatisfied with the night.  The judges weren’t excited about performances either – until they saw this Idol hopeful.

Simon can’t seem to say anything negative about Bowersox, which is a really good sign that she’s a frontrunner in the competition.
