Sony PlayStation PS3 Update 3.41 – Features, and New Store Options

The Sony PlayStation PS3 update 3.41 has been issued without a bunch of fanfare or bravado. Pretty much, the biggest changes made are to the store where users can go purchase games instantaneously and download them into their console. The store has changed so that there is a five-star rating system and also a product recommendation feature.
Both features were already available in competitor XBox’s online store. Still yet, they are a convenient addition for those who want to be able to purchase games that they like quickly and with good insight.
Still yet, many gamers claim to want cross voice chat, where they can speak to users across games. Cross chat is already available, but only in the text format. There’s no real big feature of the 3.41 update that just blows the minds of gamers.
There is one caveat that is a mixed blessing. The console will now wake itself up, download updates, then turn itself back off whenever necessary. This doesn’t allow people to time their downloads to when it is convenient for them.
The jury is still out on the new update. The new store options are good, but hardly something to get overly excited about.

I still don’t understand as to why Sony has not updated the flash player, I can’t use teambuilder due to this fact!

You CAN play music while browsing the internet on PS3! Try looking through the options instead of moaning all the time!!!!
I seriously would like to listen to my music while playing… Also, listen to music while browsing through internet… this last update was hardly necessary. =/
i would actually like to play music an use the internet at the same time an old update took that away
I am a really big fan of PS3 but I can’t seem to get online store function in my country /region as it say so I really want this function to work So hope you take this to note.

i think sony needs to comeout with a update so i can record my games while playing them and save them to the HHD. since there is already a upload and edit function.
I believe the user still has the option whether to turn on or off the automatic update freature in the system folder. I left mine off as I prefer to schedule downloads and updates myself.
So my ps3 will turn on in the middle of the day/night and attempt to download critical software updates even when im capped to 64kbps , risking a failed system update and corrupting the system. Sounds.. crap
Screw Sony. They keep removing functional features and adding crap.

I think that if Sony is going to waste its time updating the PS3 they should atleast add a interesting new feature to the system. Maybe like the cross voice chat like the article says.
