Lost Series Finale Explanation – EW Explained Lost Finale

Lost Series Finale Explanation – EW Explained Lost Finale.  The Lost series finale ended on Sunday, and like the entire sixth season it was rather cryptic and hard to understand. The season finale ended as Jack entered a church, where he found the empty coffin of his father. Then, his father appeared to him and told him that the events that happened were all real up until now.

Then, Christian opens the door to the church and a bright light goes everywhere…

So what does this mean? EW suggests that it means that the character were in some sort of purgatory and could move on once they resolved something in their life. Moving on means that they could go on to heaven.

Of course, some people still don’t buy that explanation, and wish that the writers would have wrapped up the story in a more concise manner.  After all … the whole sixth season has been building up to that pivotal moment where the story would FINALLY be explained.

TO me, the Lost series finale is a lot like the Sopranos series finale.  We wanted to see a conclusion that made sense…something that just clicked. Instead, we were left more confused than we were when the season started.

Maybe this will allow for a Lost feature film movie?

One can only hope.
