Diaper Recall 2010 Looming? Government Inspecting Procter & Gamble Dry Max Diapers

Diaper Recall 2010 Looming? Government Inspecting Procter & Gamble Dry Max Diapers.  Some moms are complaining about a potential diaper recall looming.  The government is inspecting various Procter & Gamble diapers that contain the “Dry Max” technology.  The technology is used primarily in Swaddlers and Cruisers.

So what’s the problem? Many say that when their children started using the diapers with the new technology, they got diaper rashes and what appeared to be chemical rashes.

Procter & Gamble denies that their products are causing any sort of rash or chemical burn.  They even had pediatric dermatologists verify that their products appeared to be safe.

The US Consumer Products Safety Commission is taking the claims very seriously – after all, you don’t want babies with rashes that can be avoided! The poor little tikes can’t tell us that their diapers are burning them.

In addition, people have turned to FaceBook and created a group demanding the “old” Swaddlers come back.  At least people still want the Procter Gamble product!

So now there is an investigation in to Procter & Gamble’s diapers. If they find something wrong, there could be a massive recall. Then, we can’t medicate our children or diaper them -

What should you do? If you are concerned about Swaddlers or Cruisers, use a different diaper.  There are plenty different brands out there to try.

i used the dry max on my granddaughter and she has developed a horrible rash…..my daughter uses huggies..You bet your booty, I’m changing diapers immediately…Throwing those worthless pampers away..SHAME ON YOU PAMPERS…fess up

My daughter got bad burns from them. We used the old diapers since she was born (over 18 months) then when they switched, she got big red welts all over her diaper area. We, also, have switched to a different diaper…but don’t like them as much as the original swaddlers and cruisers

My older son (now 4 years old) used the old Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers and they were terrific. No leaking problems or anything.

Now with my younger son, who’s just over 1 year old, I can not use Pampers any longer, much to my dismay. Every morning, he has leaked not through the openings of the diaper (through the leg holes, top, or back), but through the actual FRONT of the diaper! It happens every night and I’ve finally had to stop using Pampers.

Seriously, from a 2nd time mom, Pampers, switch back to the old formula! Why mess with such a good thing?! I’ve taken my business elsewhere…

Cruisers are fantastic!! I love them. They are super thin and keep my little guy drier than any other diaper. I’ve been using them for 4 months now – no issues except when he was teething and had diaper rash that lasted 2 days…I cleared it up with zinc and constant diaper changes. Dry max doesn’t mean you can leave your child in the diaper 2x’s longer…change the diapers when they get wet! Also..as with any product…some children just may be sensitive to them. I tried Fisher Price and got a diaper rash immediately – a friend uses them all the time with no issues.

see we use them and have now for a week and my daughter has no rash, no burns, not even redness. That is so strange to me because those are the diapers used in the hospital. And if they do a recall what about the packages already opend will they exchange those? cause ive spent a lot of money on those things.

we had not heard the “rumors” about the pampers. However, purchased pampers on friday and by saturday morning baby’s bottom looked burned….we called pampers and they stated no recall. That is fine and dandy, but how do you explain this happening over and over. We now are using another brand and the “burn” is slowly getting better. I am sure it is not just “MOM’S” that have the concern. People this is not a rash….it is a burn to the point of almost bleeding. Something needs to be done. I have no vested interest except for my grandson’s health…
